Short biography about me:

  • Graduated from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.
    • Worked as an Accounts Receivable clerk for two years in Credit and Collections
    • Started CGA Level 2 courses – not completed

Found that Accounting wasn’t for me so I went on to look at other opportunities and decided to go back to school.

  • Graduated from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in Computer Systems Technology
    • Worked as a Database Developer using Oracle backend database, and C frontend application at Saville Systems (later ADC) on the Global Billing Platform project.
    • Worked as an Applications Developer on the same product.
    • Provided on-site product support for our client in South America
    • Developed key project documents including: Statement of Work (SOW), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and LOE. Participant in onsite specification study for NTT (Nippon Telegraph & Telecommunication) in Tokyo, Japan. Performed client demos and gap analysis.
    • GBP was a three-tier, client-server application with presentation, business and data layers.
    • At the same company went onto work on the next generation Telecommunications billing application CBP (Convergent Billing Platform).  Oracle database, and Oracle Forms front-end.  Extensive use with PL/SQL, procedures and packages.
    • Worked as a Team Leader, SWAT Team Leader (rapid BUG FIX), Release Manager in the Telecommunications industry on the IT side.
    • Worked as a Systems Analyst for a leading provider of Blood Tracking Software in the United States whis is FDA Certified.  Worked on an enterprise Hospital Information Systems package and went on to work on a blood tracking, manufacturing and distribution package as a Systems Analyst and later as a Client Relationship Manager working with organizations such as American Red Cross Plasma Services and other fractionators.  Good understanding of the FDA cGMP and experience and exposure to HL7 protocol having worked with Hospital Information Systems software as a Developer and Team Leader.
    • Systems developed in C with Oracle Forms, and Oracle back end.
    • I’ve developed web applications (under contract) using PHP with some JavaScript and a MySQL backend.  Good experience with web technologies, and strong understanding of them.  Very familiar with Web 2.0 and aspects of SEO.
    • Most recently worked as a Project Manager, in the telecommunications area managing Point of Sale Activation projects.
    • Worked in all areas of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Developed systems for Asset Management and Tracking, and kiosk monitoring resulting in better control over a revenue generating asset.
  • Developed and implemented an RMA process changes to recover costs previously unbilled or lost through inefficiencies resulting in 100% of parts and terminals being invoiced.
  • Implemented shipping cost recovery initiatives which resulted in 80% of all rush delivery requests being invoiced.
